![]() You want stress to be a stat the player has, or a stat all controllable characters have, individually? Can anyone suggest how I might apply combat penalties based on an in-game statistic? I want to have certain stress levels gradually reduce their combat effectiveness, but the combat engine seems very hard coded to use only the stats the engine already has. Second, characters in this game are all mages who gain their abilities from the magical implement they use, whether it's a dark tome, crystal ball, whatever. I would like stress to be visible either from the main pause menu, or better yet as part of the UI on screen during play (is that even possible?) I know I need to use JavaScript to modify menus is it feasible, if I go that route, to just use YanFly's Menu Options customization script, then copy one of the other menus and modify it? How do I reference in game variables in JavaScript? ![]() ![]() So, in my game, which is a Persona-inspired visual novel with time management, the player has a stat called Stress which can impair their ability to fight if they don't find ways to manage it.
